| All About Pole Spears & Slings What is it about that traditional method of the early hunter/gatherers under the water? These devices are indeed interesting and effective. |

MAKO's New Polespear
While surfing around on the mako website I saw that starting January they were making their own Polespear. It is convertible for lionfish or normal hunting. What do y'all think?

Re: MAKO's New Polespear
Without knowing any better, it looks very similar to the pole spears out of Australia such as Undersee.
It is a large female thread and that will mean an unusual adapter, if you want to fit for example a flopper shaft. At the price Mako is offering the travel pole spear, it sure looks like a good buy. Mike.

At that price its gonna be hard not to get one... Id rather have a travel polespear over this dinky 5 foot fiberglass one I have thats just taking up room in the gear bag and closet. |
