http://news.yahoo.com/yosemite-plan-...160215839.html

If you happen to like the current govenor... You can still threaten to Re-Call him in order to stop all this nonesence! Is everyone going to wait until the outdoors are closed down before you VOTE to make a change!!

Whew... ok, i'm better now.... not really

Re: Yosemite is falling now

how is the governor of california responsible for this proposed action? this is a national park, therefore part of our federal government.

Don't confuse tommy with the facts. He thinks recalling the Governor is the answer to everything from glaucoma to hemorrhoids.

I think removing the cables will lead to many people falling to their death and would be a bad idea. I just think its funny that you can fish there and not in the MLPA's

I'm no fan of Brown's but we can't blame him for the rules in the National Parks. Those rules are thought up by some other wackjob.

Governor Brown and Yosemite = zero correlation. I love when conservatives can't connect the state versus federal jurisdiction dots despite most kids in grade school being about to do so.

As to why or where this empty headed rhetoric comes from? Here is a likely root cause: http://tinyurl.com/83q36m8

Re: Yosemite is falling now

I hike half dome every year with friends and last year with the temporary permit system was........AWESOME! No more long waits trying to ascend or descend and getting the permits was super easy, just requires a little extra planning.

Similar to the requirement of back country wilderness permits to ensure that certain areas do not get overwhelmed by excess pressure, I think this is the direction we are headed as population sizes grow and more and more people utilize the outdoors.

As long as the permit system does not turn into a process that restricts access to only the wealthy ( I think each permit is a dollar) I don't really see an issue with it.

The other problem with it is that when people get their permit and have come a long way (like from around the world) they are going up regardless of rain, thunder storms, or other less than ideal conditions.

There was an electrocution and fall this last summer caused by thunderstorms. The hiker had a permit and went up despite the hazardous conditions. Just goes to show you cant protect he foolish from themselves.

Natural Selection. The dumb suffer from their own faults. Rangers are always on that trail too. There still would likely be fair warning granted afternoon storms come out of nowhere.

I don't know. Let me know when you find out.

All I know for sure is that its an observation that tommy7 is so fixed on recalling Gov. Brown that he can't tell the difference between things that are under the jurisdiction of the state and those under the jurisdiction of the Federal government.

Could you understand the difference?
