I would be in, but I'm flying to Saba that morning. Let me know if you're diving any other local wrecks in the near future.

Have you guys seen/had any luck with scallops in that area? Seems like it would be about the right depth range.

I've been asked that twice this week. I would imagine they are there. We are looking to dive out in that area this weekend, still need a couple more divers to sign up to make the run. We are looking to dive the Radford Saturday possibly also the Northern Pacific before the weekends over. NEED DIVERS! delawarewreckdivers.com

How did you guys make out? We were the boat that pulled up next to you on the bow section. Did you have anyone hunting on your charter? I am waiting for my video to upload to You Tube and then I will post our trip report.

No hunters on this trip so nothing was taken, however a nice size Monk Fish was spotted in the sand. How did you guys make out? Find any scallops? We did not make it to the Northern Pacific but are planning on a trip in the near future. I will post the dates.

No scallops - (they did look)) Kevin (tie in diver) came up with a monk. We did one there, then hit reef site 11.

Subway cars.

No vis.

Lots of fish, lots of mono. We didnt stay long.

We have had some really nice dives on the Cape May reef over the last few years so we though we would take a shot on site 11. Not a good move - didnt stay long.

We had a LONG holiday weekend. We hit Poseidon (1 dive), City of Athens(2,some 3), Radford(1, some 2), Jacob Jones(2,some did 3), Reef site 11(1),all in 3 days. I was exhausted by Sunday night.

Re: Diving USS RADFORD 3/31/12

Visibility wasn't great on reef site 11 maybe 5'. We hit a couple of the redbird cars on the north side of the reef. Maybe we didn't time the tide right but it was pretty stirred up. Very silty on the bottom and not many fish to mention either. I saw a couple of dead sea bass just floating next to the wreck. Not sure if they were caught earlier by some fisherman and blew their air bladders on the way up and got tossed back because they were undersized. I would like to check out some of the bigger stuff down there toward the end of the incoming tide. Might make things a little better.

Sounds like you guys had a awsome weekend, kinda feeling green reading your post (envy not sea sick) ha ha. By the way did the sick one survive the trip sounded pretty bad out there the other day. Do you guys do a lot of weekend overnight trips?

He survived!! But as you heard....he was a mess He gets like that every time. He somehow manages to pull himself together and never actually musses a dive - BUT - he really gets sick!!!

Most of our overnighters are fishing - and we do a bunh every year. Now with the compressor on board - we plan on doing a few DIVE - head to the canyons for some overnight fishing - then - back inshore to dive - trip.
