Ponce 6/2 Report + Lost GoPro

Hit the water on 6/2 with a plan to head North to retrieve a previously lost anchor from site #11 and get some flatties on polespear. Pounded our way out to find a stiff 15kt wind and nasty 3' short-period chop that was unmanageable. We worked our way inshore looking for better topside conditions. It was better closer in, but most of the arti sites were covered up with boats. We finally found some elbow room down at the site#6 culverts.

Temp was 84 on top, 76 on the bottom. Vis was very doable as recently reported: 15+ ft with lots of suspended particulate. Almost no current. There was lots of bait around and lots of flounder-shaped holes in the sand, but few flounder. It looks like someone hit it pretty hard recently. Managed to find a few and also bagged a trigger.

For this dive, I chose to wear my GoPro headstrap over my hood. I had previously worn it under the hood, but it was causing my mask to leak. To avoid the leakage, I wore it over the hood this time -- MISTAKE. Halfway through the dive, I reached up to make sure it was aligned and found it was gone. If anyone finds it, I'd be happy to pay a reward for it's return. It 's a 960 in a brand new flat lens dive housing. We were at the old #6 NE culvert deposit, near 29°03.23 'N, 80°43.16'W.
