No wonder this sport is so expensive.....

You guys loose a lot of $hit in the ocean when you dive!

Mother ocean gives much and takes much. She has donated to me for years and I have in turn reciprocated.
My first loss was a tiny speargun at laguna, scuba diving for lobsters, lost it at night getting rolled in the surf. Only the first of many donations to the water gods.

That's a relief, because one time I forgot to lube an o-ring and I flooded my dive light. Still made it back to shore with it tethered to my wrist....

The only thing that I can say that I "gave back to Mother Ocean" is countless hours of standing before the Fish & Game Commission presenting arguments against the (now implemented) MPA's up and down the coast.

Yeah, I also lost something "valuable" in the ocean:

My right to fish

A total longshot from a lost item in 1987, but a PM is sent. Fingers crossed!

If you don't lube the o-ring mother nature will screw you hard.

My homemade bodysurfing handplane lost at marine st. by any chance?
Doubt you would consider this "valuable" but it was the first surf craft I ever shaped and the moments it gave me were priceless!
