Stx Freedivers (The rainy report)
About 3 weeks ago I got a shot on a very nice cubera in the 40 pound class, I had almost stoned her along with a mangorve that did not want to move. On the WAY up the shooting line tangled on the bands and I tugged on it, at the same time the fish made a run and the gun slipped out of my hands. Long story short it finally got clear enough to dive that spot last friday. It had been more than 12 years since I had strapped on a tank, ja ja ja ja dove to 70 feet for about 20 min and recovered my hybrid. It was crazy gun already gowth on it and had become part of the reef .. Thank you to Keith for buddying up with me to recover the gun.
Scottie here some video of some Cobia action from our trip to pm ... http://youtu.be/zAb1DuPrVjg?hd=1&t=5s ![]() IMAG0272 by adriangarz1206, on Flickr ![]() GosmsPhoto1339195588061 by adriangarz1206, on Flickr ![]() PART_1340943835034 by adriangarz1206, on Flickr ![]() PART_1340943835061 by adriangarz1206, on Flickr Last edited by adriangarz1206; 06-30-2012 at 09:24 PM. |

Great video Cesar. Did your gun clean up OK? That makes for a really good story.

Excellent video! That is quite a catch on the dock. When is the fish fry?
And congratulations on recovering your speargun, too.
