Prone Paddleboard Spearfishing

Greetings from the East Coast

I have been seeing some ads over here of people selling prone paddleboards. I have seen alot more traffic in your regions on these types of boards.

My question is this: are these boards just as fast/faster vs. the OK scuppers /Tarpons out there?

Also can you stand on these things as well or are they simply too narrow for that?

Best Wishes

Greg

Nope can't stand on a prone Paddleboard. They work great as a transport platform. The only down side is a Paddleboard will coast around $800 on the low end and are not really built for all the extra gear, and are pretty fragile.

A better alternative would be the Stand Up Paddlrboard.

They are pretty narrow, but fast. That being said, you can wear your self out in a hurry if the water is really choppy.

And as said above, you'll likely have a hard time transporting your gear unless you get one of the purpose made paddle boards like a Mulder.
