Saturday out of Tarpon

[Kahuna]

Sometimes you know better but don't listen. When you promise your Sr.VP a trip and he gets approval from the real boss you go anyway. 3 to 5 in the morning and around noon started getting worse. We scratched diving and ended up just fishing while hanging on to the boat. You could see hooked fish about 10-15ft down from the boat in 42ft so I would assume without going down that the Vis was decent. 30ft looked pretty muddy. The afternoon tide was ripping, big time.

Anyway, three keeper grouper, my son tried to sink the boat with grunts, kingfish everywhere and a couple of spanish. Kingfish recipe, anchor throw out a dead sardine on a free line 15ft behind the boat and wait 10 seconds. The big one was 25pounds. Caught them all day in every spot we stopped. I don't know why but I have never caught so many pilot fish. Did not see any sharks or GG but they had to be around something
