Pilchards in Islamorada-Please help!
il be staying in Islamorada the 16,17,18 OF DEC.We plan on hook and lining,if its calm enough maybe we'll run out to the humps and do some tuna fishing.
But...We need pilchards!If anybody is aware of the bait situation down there please contact me! Thank you my spear fishing brethrens!!! |

The best thing to do is get to the biggest marina in the area early in the morning. Wait for the light tackle guides to leave and follow them to the promise land.
Remember, Those guys make a living fishing. So give them the respect they deserve. The bait moves around so fast they and the pelicans are the only ones who know where it's each day. Good luck! PS bring your small gun with a short float line and jump in behind the boat when the action heats up!
