Protest pics from Cali

Here is a like to a website dedicated to photos of various protests in Ca. It is pretty entertaining in a sick twisted way. Quite a few of these individuals need to come back to earth and or reality.http://www.zombietime.com/

I never have seen this anywhere else in the country. So what causes California to be a retard magnet? A friend of my wife is from there and just as retarded. Everytime I get around her she always quotes the crap that is shown in the pics and to think she is an intellectual with a doctorate in Physics. She usually goes away from our conversations really pissed off and crying. HEh heh heh.

I know there is probably no way to burst your bubble if you want to think everyone in the state looks like those protestors and spends all his or her time out doing stuff like that, but it really is a big state with a lot of diversity.

The county where I live is so right wing and up tight that Democrats usually don't even bother to field a candidate in my Congressional district. The people here defer to no one in immigrant bashing and hating the poor (except then they want some yard work done, vegetables picked, or babies raised), and you are highly unlikely to see anyone like those protesters.

If I drive over the mountain road about 30 miles inland, its as if I've been transplanted to Oklahoma, and everyone has a gun rack in his pickup.

Driving up the San Joaquin Valley is just like being in the agricultural mid-west, and the attitudes of the population are about the same.

In the very rural counties of Northern California, the main cash crop is marijuana, and the only demonstrations you are likely to encounter are shotgun blasts if you threaten someone's crop.

So not all of us spend all our time doing those funny demonstrations. However, I do have to admit to thinking that some of them are more entertaining than the ones I saw outside the house of Elian Gonzalez's uncle. That was some scary shit.

Jeez, Bill. Are you speaking as a retard, a fruit, a nut, a flake or a commie?

Whichever it is, well done.

Oh come now Bill, isn't that a tad bit harsh? Take me for example. As a citizen of Orange County, do I "bash immigrants" or "hate the poor"? Yikes, I'm working at the wrong place and going to the wrong church if that really were the case. If anything, I find OC quite left-leaning. It just appears right-wing to you because it hasn't toppled over yet onto it's left side and ruptured its spleen like the northern 2/3 of the state.

To compare that link with what "was outside the house of Elian" is offensive. I was there on several occasions and all I saw were elderly women with rosary beads praying, media, and a community symbolically defing the Castro regime. Were you there? You're comparing apples to oranges and I hate to beat a dead horse of the Elian affair, but your comment is so off base.

Re: Protest pics from Cali

So are you saying that its hard to get a feel for the reality of a place from what you see on TV?

Imagine that.

Three of our last four governers have been Republicans, and the one that wasn't got voted out in mid term. Granted, we replaced him with an actor. For the second time. But, hey, the rest of the country voted the first actor into the Presidency. Twice.

So you could say that as goes California, so goes the rest of the nation, eventually. So order your scrotum pump, drop trou, paint yourself a sign and for goodness sake, find yourself a media outlet or at least a photographer with a website.

Its probably the same thing that makes Virginia a Neo Nazi white supremacy magnet. And watch out we are trying to drive out all the Hippie nut job protesters so you'll be seeing more soon.
