Fort Myers report 3/1
SW of Sanibel, 70-75 fsw, bottom temp 63, vis 20ft
Scouted 4 new spots--hard bottom and ledges. 1st dive I thought I was in the marquesas--tall fans and soft corals, small ledges with Spiney's and a spotted moray, nice inshore hogs and red grouper. Ledges holding lots of mangs and sheepies as usual and a few nice gags.

Great report. Way to slay. Thanks. I'm heading out of Sanibel Saturday to hit the same depth ranges. Nice to have such a recent report from down in our neck of the Gulf. There don't appear to be as many spearfisherman from here compared to the Tampa region and I haven't met as many local guys as I would like. I know a lot of you guys hang at Dean's Dive Center, but I can't get up that way very often. Keep up the reports. I hope to post one myself soon.

Nice report! Water's pretty cool even down there.
Not looking for exact figures or anything, but bout how far off Sanibel were you? My wife and I visit her dad who lives in FM and we would'nt mind taking the boat to get away for some spearing. Too bad my fatherinlaw or his wife doesn't like boating or fishing

The dives were 25-30miles off sanibel lighthouse.
Yeah, not much in the way of reports down this way. Dean's is the local spearo hang out--great place to shoot the shit and plan local trips.
