Titaniumdiver sent me 2 handles...neither of which I recieved...this seriously pisses me off because I hate switching handles b/w my bluewater gun and hybrid.

You can mail whole guns you just cant mark the box. So I don't understand why they are taking plastic pieces that hardly look like the could go on a gun. must taken some of the people from my post office out west. This should be stopped, they should be looking for bombs not a handle for a gun no matter what kind of gun.

Re: Homeland Security strikes again

I mailed off a Riffe Island today, and after reading this thread, I insured the package that the handle was in, as well as the tube that the gun was in. I also got delivery confirmation. Both are cheap and IMO worth it.

Last year, I mailed someone a $150 crimper and it never arrived. Bastards! I was totally SOL.

Don't trust the USPS/FedEx/UPS with anything of value. Get the insurance. It's cheap piece of mind.

Re: Homeland Security strikes again

Any firearm can be UPSed either to or from a FFL or gunsmith in another state, or between two individuals IN THE SAME STATE by federal rules. UPS requires firearms of any type to go air freight to limit THEIR pilferage problem. IOW you pay extra to save THEM money. What a deal!

Postal regs prohibit shipping ANY firearm through the mail, however federal law in a very few cases trumps postal regs. It took me quite a while to convince my Postmaster that the old UA Army DCM HAD to ship weapons via US Mail by the enabling legislation that set up the program. So if she eally needed to compalin some more she needed to take her grief up with Congress, leave my ass alone, and give me the M1 already.
