Another bahamas Question

I will be taking my honeymoon in mid july and will be staying Near nassau in cable bch. I would like to Take a day and spearfish (Hawaiian Sling style) in some of the more remote areas Of maybe the outer islands, I guess my first question is, is this realistic.. The Regs say this

Spearfishing
Hawaiian sling is the only approved spearfishing device. Use of scuba gear or an air compressor to harvest fish, conch, crawfish and other marine animals is prohibited. Spearfishing is not allowed within one mile off the coast of New Providence, within one mile off the south coast of Freeport, Grand Bahama and within 200 yards of the coast of all Out Islands. Spearing or taking marine animals by any means is prohibited within national sea parks.

My next question is should I rent a boat or kayaks and do it my self(what I would prefer) or should I hire a Guide(ok too).

Does anyone know of a spearfishing friendly guide.

I would Like to take a day kayaking to remote places and do my own thing if possible.

Any info IS Appreciated

hawiian slings are fine no scuba gear or spearguns can be on board, there are tons of reef sharks, stay by your wife , forget spearfishing for a few days

Re: Another bahamas Question

If you are going to focus on spearfishing it is tough to do around Nassau as it can be pretty picked over and some reefs are used for scuba and they do not want you to spear. Hire a guide. Sorry I don't know one in that area.
