Riffe Euro 100 impressions
Went out over the weekend, and used my new Riffe Euro 100, 9/32 shaft, Icepick, 2 x 5/8, 2 x wraps of 400 lb mono.
I gotta say, I was very impressed. More power than I expected out of 2 bands, and VERY fast shaft speed. Accuracy was good, I only missed about 2 out of 15 shots and both were at 20' or so on smallish Mangroves. Makes a "funny" sound, kinda like a spring uncoiling really fast, but it's still very quiet. I'm serisously considering abandoning my NoKaOi (3 x 5/8, 3/8" shaft, IcePick) for a Euro 110 and carrying a couple of extra shafts for the inevetable bendage of the 9/32" ones. Gonna have to shoot something big first though and see how the penetration is... |

yes, in hawaii. the gun was deadly accurate on the reef. my hunting skills suck in hawaii and with the viz being incredible it made it rather difficult to get close to certain fish. there were many times i wished i had a 180 cm gun...lol. you will really enjoy the gun. it has a great feel and is very smooth in the water. good luck and enjoy. sask ps- don't forget to send photos of your fish into riffe |
