Regional Shooting Reports

This catagory probably started out to be what it's name implies, "Regional Shooting Reports." It often still has that information, but many times it's buried under tons of other stuff, making it too hard to dig out. I never know if I have seen all the reports even when spending a lot of time looking.

I wonder if anyone else would like to see a separate regional catagory for the miscellaneous stuff, questions, photos etc. ?
Call it Regional General Information?

Here's my thoughts: The "Reports" catagory should be nothing but reports. With parameters like location, depth, visibility and fish seen or shot. It should not have a response capability, just put in another report that won't be hidden. It probably should be restricted in length too. It could be as easy as checking a buoy report or other weather link.

There is a site in LA, www.rodnreel.com , that has a Reports section much like what I'm saying. It's even color coded: royal blue for bluewater/offshore, light blue shallow water offshore, etc. They have a separate Pictures section for fish photos caught, and you have to open them to see them. So it does not slow down the opening of Reports page or even the Pictures page.

Don't get me wrong there are times when I like reading all the extra stuff that is presently in the regional shootin reports...just not when I'm pressed for time!

It's presently not as bad as the the Biggest Fish Contest became, but If Scott had not stepped in and cleaned that up we would still have no clue as to who's ahead. (Notice he has many catagories like gouper that he's still sorting out.)

What do the rest of you think?
