But will they say sorry

Republicans will congratulate us on our great win, but will they apologize?

For the last few years, republicans have

QUESTIONED OUR PATRIOTISM. Especially when we voiced an opinion which happened to be different from theirs. They tried to silence us, by attempting to shame us, in our own country, for simply speaking out.

THEY QUESTIONED OUR MORALITY. They saw no problem using God as a wedge issue to smear us, in using God to make us look bad.

THEY TOLD US WE ARE WEAK. because we disagree with their policy, which is our God given right. Even though so many congressmen, and candidates, and relatives and others that vote democrat, are military combat veterans that put their lives on the line. Even though for many of the GOP leaders and talking heads, when it was their turn to fight, they cut and ran. F-ing shameless.

They seemed to conveniently forget, all in the name of keeping their power, that we love our country every bit as much as they do, maybe even more. They forgot that we were taught right along side of them of the importance of country. Every day in grade school we too stood and took the pledge of allegiance.

Well you know what, if you were a democrat, your country was taken away from you these last few years. Rove and the RNC's politics of division, of only wanting to win by one vote, marginalized us in our own country.

You speak out for what you believe, you must want the terrorists to win. You most certainly hate america. Sound familiar?

Even people in positions of power, on the republican side, if they spoke out against the administration, they were fired passed over and or incessantly and repeatedly attacked by the republican echo chamber..... That of which many of you in this forum are a part of.

Truth is, I don't want an apology. But I sure as hell will not forget any time soon the politic you engaged in.

God won't forget it anytime soon either.

Shameless. That's part and parcel why you got your asses kicked last night. America is better than you.

Today is a great day!

Re: But will they say sorry

And Demos have done nothing but blame Bush...I am glad you are in power. Now instead of complaining about everything they will have to take the tough stances and actually do and not just gripe. I hope this country takes a new direction but I truly hope it is not off the deep left. There has to be some middle ground. Where are the old Democrats. They were truly the party of America.....both parties have gone off the deep end. Well, we got change, lets see what happens

Re: But will they say sorry

Not only have the democrats blamed Bush but the country has also. That is what the election showed last night.

The reason the election was won is because the democrats fielded moderate democrats. Blue dog democrats if you will. I think the democrats understand that it is time to move back to the middle. I think after this election the republicans learned the same thing. The democrats haven't had a chance to do anything with the republicans controlling the house and senate. Unfortunately the repub's took a my way or the highway approach to govt. for the last 12 years since they took power. Now that we have a two party system with more checks and balances my guess is we will see more bipartisanship. I hope that is the case and the democrats take the higher ground and not dwell on the crap that they have been taking for the past years.

6 years in office and now Bush is talking about bipatisanship and he has finally conceded that it is time for a new approach to Iraq.

It only took a thumping for him to understand.

The only thing that Bush understands is that it only takes a majority vote in the House to start the Impeachment process and he is scared shitless. They tried to impeach Clinton for getting a blowjob, what do you think Bush shoukld get? I know what I think! Guy is a f@cking trader to the entire middle class and I hope karma gets him and Cheney!

This reminds me that I went to a movie this afternoon and saw a trailer for the documentary on what happened to the Dixie Chicks when they spoke out. The vicious reaction was just amazing, and everyone was castigating them for not supporting the President. One redneck said something like "free speech is OK, but not in public."

There was a little clip of Bush walking across the lawn from the helicopter and smirking while saying, "aw, the poor things are complaining just because they can't sell records."

Of course the attitude on Spearboard was the same as you have described. If anyone questioned the war, they got the standard "why do you hate America" line.

I wonder if Bush or anyone else will apologize to the Dixie Chicks for not realizing that they were ahead of their time?

Re: But will they say sorry

This apology talk reminds me of Democrats blaming Republicans for "dividing the country". That is, after all the Leftwing propaganda filled years, of race baiting, class warfare and demonizing of Republican leaderships from Ronald Reagan to GW Bush.
Whom are the libs kidding ?

Six years of dividing the country by the repubs is about to change. The democrats are becoming the party of the moderates while the repubs will slowly become the right wing whackos.

No different than the far right wing neocons leading the repubs.

What we need is for the moderates in both parties to step up and demand to be heard. The moderate republicans lost seats because the moderate democrats sounded like a better deal. Instead of following the right wing whackos people looked for a change.

Re: But will they say sorry

Actually...the difference ( and it's too bad you don't see it...) is that the "right wing" will do whatever it takes to protect me and my family from governments and organizations overseas who WANT US DEAD. Frankly, based upon their own words...not some Republican fear mongering...Pelosi, Kennedy, Dean, et al...have not convinced me that they even recognize the threat. Let alone have a plan to protect this nation. Never forget...the planning, training, and placement of assets necessary to carry out the murders on 9-11 was all done PRIOR to Bush becoming President. Those people had ALREADY set their plans in motion to murder as many of us as they possibly could, so please...let's not hide behind the pathetic "Bush policies made us less safe". That's a cheap cop-out used by ignorant people that don't have a clue about what's going on in the world today.
What will the Democrat party do to prevent further attacks...???

You sound just like that war criminal Rumsfeld in his 'resignation' speach yesterday, telling the entire country that we don't really know what is going on in the world. BS That group in the White house are war criminals and now they've been neutralized. Thank God!

You guys are acting like it was some kinda of Regan landslide it was a barley win, WIN. Would like to see some decent for Americans leadership now, but I wont hold my breath.

BTW some of you nutjobs on the far left sound just as bad if not worse than some of the nutjobs on the far right.

You are also kidding yourself if you think you are going to see anything change it will be dirty business as usual. ALL politicians will say anything to get power INCLUDING the democrats.

Not one democrat in power is going to withdraw the troops because they cant and there is no will to do so. They will simply say they have gotten some accurate info or something as an excuse to carry on the BAU.

Well, I'm hearing a few comments about how unpatriotic republicans are just in this thread. Don't play this 'innocent victim' bullsh*t, it's not going to stick.

It's spelled 'traitor', by the way.
