Working on 21 years in the Army now. I decided to stay in for bit longer....just extended yesterday. Maybe I will work up to Sergeant Major. Thanks to all who have served and all who are still serving. Happy Birthday Marines.

Take every chance to be in a command position. I missed out on SGM because I liked being a staffy and didn't find out how much fun being first shirt was until I was too close to retirement to get into SGM academy. As soon as you make 8, shoot for the Top spot. A couple of years of that and you will have a much better chance for 9. And happy birthday, Bill, as well. Acting Sergeant Major (ret.)
