Thanks f94gator
Thanks for closing out my thread calling out a guy who posts an average of ten posts a day as a troll, yet the thread about the US blowing up the twin towers go on. I guess if I bash the government or agree with the left coastees who won't be happy until stem cell research provides a way for 2 married men to have give birth while performing oral on each other while getting a partial birth abortion, the thread wouldn't have been closed.

Re: Thanks f94gator
Vito,
I didn't respond to the closed thead, but since you feel so strongly that you had to open another one, I'll prove I'm stupid by trying to reason with you. If tax reform and political subjects are not of interest to you, why do you read them and let yourself get all pissed off? If you don't think about stuff like that, you are in good company, as most of the population doesn't either. But I do care about that stuff, and I learn a lot by discussing it with others. In particular, I learn a lot by discussing it with people who disagree with me. I don't always change my basic principles, but very often I get a "oh, that's why they feel that way" flash, and it provides me with new ways of looking at things. The most recent thread I started was on tax reform. I think the system is broken and thought that a lot of other people did too, so I posted an editorial proposing some changes. It seems to have bombed so far, as it has not resulted in any discussion, but that's fine with me. What I don't understand is why it is so objectionable to you if things like that are brought up. As long as we are talking about how weird I am, I'll confess to other things that probably baffle you. I take my own canvas shopping bags to the supermarket in order to save plastic and paper, and I always return my shopping carts to the desigated area so that some poor bastard won't get his paint job dinged trying to get into a parking place. I suspect these admissions just confirm your belief that I'm a left wing California weirdo, but the fact is that they cause you no harm. My posting of political topics does you no harm either. Just ignore all of it and go on with your happy life. Your example of what it takes to keep a thread from being closed on this board is so silly that its hardly worth a response. The board is still dominated by right wing folks from red states, and no one has to take positions like those in order to keep a thread alive. If this is all about the Hitler avatar and its important to you, please put it back up. As I said before, the only reason I even mentioned it was that it was there in a thread about a black guy who advocated killing all whites, and Hitler provided a perfect example of the fact that black guys didn't have a monopoly on attitudes like that. Otherwise, it would never have occurred to me to mention it. I didn't get the humor that you say was intended, but I don't get the humor in many avatars, including your new one, so that's nothing new. Last edited by Bill McIntyre; 11-21-2006 at 01:53 PM. |

You gotta love Seinfeld. An old boss of mine had every episode on divx, so naturally, I have them all too.

Re: Thanks f94gator
i was out in phoenix this past weekend and a business associate was eating a muffin that he got from starbucks. I asked him how it was, and he said "The tops the only good part". I started cracking up, obviously thinking it was a reference to "Top o' the Muffin". Turns out the guy never watched seinfeld and had no idea what i was laughing about.... some people.

Btw, post another thread solely for the purpose of insulting another spearboard member and starting a pissing match, and I'll close that one, too. Like this one.
