Visibility stinks
I went spearfishing with Gary from the OC Hunter club at Laguna Beach, off Agate. Water was relatively warm, but the surf was up and water vis was atrocius (~3-4 ft); I hope it gets better soon. FYI, Gary's got a post up in the Member Zone at the OC Hunter website. He's a much, much better diver than I am, but he's helpful and a great guy. I highly recommmend contacting him if you need a freedive buddy, esp. at an advanced level. Just a reminder, the next OC Hunter meeting is this Thursday (Aug 21) at 7:00PM with a club dive that Saturday (Aug 23) at Cress Street. Hope to see you there.
