Two Missing Hoopnetters; One found Dead

The force of the sea probably claimed two hoopnetters off San Diego this weekend...One body has been retrieved. Additionally, a boat loaded with people overturned off San Pedro during the same wave system but, noone was injured or drowned....When things go wrong out there, it happens fast and frequently, it is like an octopus,,,problems spread out and if you don't move fast, you become another casualty of over-confidence or lack of knowledge, or both.....

Re: Two Missing Hoopnetters; One found Dead

bob,

People were warned that the waves were up. People really don't lessen very well. I have been to known to do it once or twice, or more like 100 times. LOL.

Also people only have a certain amount of time, and they find that nature gets in the way. How many time have you wanted to go diving and the conditions sucked, but you went anyways. I remember I went kayak diving doing a 6-foot day at Malibu and lost half my equipment in the process. I could have lost my life too.

Just had to go, because it was the only free time I had.

Also people get stupid over bugs. I can count how many time I have been run over by Hoopnetters boat, because they think I am getting there bugs.

As the old time fighter pilots used to say, "There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but, there are no old, bold pilots".....

I can still be a little bold if you give me the right plane and to tell you the truth at 27...................I am starting to feel a little old as well. ")

It is very sad and unfortunate. They should not have put themselves in that situation over a couple of bugs.
