Greetings all from a new member

I recently moved to the Sarasota area from Galveston , TX. I would love any info on local dive spots for 'yak diving in the Sarasota area.

PM me. I live in Lakewood Ranch/Sarasota. I have yaks and dive and fish from them.

Welcome.

Do you only dive from yaks or do you open water dive and spearfish? We do most of our diving out of New Pass and often have room for 1 more.

Re: Greetings all from a new member

I did a fair amount of rig diving off the TX coast, and some spearing(mostly red snapper and sheephead), but my experience there is limited, but I would like to increase my experience, and the vis is much better here and most of the upper TX coast.

If you ever get down south a little more, I have yak dived off of Boca Grande a few dozen times onto nearby artificial reefs...not much of anything for spearfishing there though, but usually good life on the reef...as long as the red tides stay away...let me know if you're interested in a trip sometime...

Nah, everybody's cool here. Welcome to the board. There is an incredible amount of info here if you look for it. The search feature will bring up a ton of info on gun building, hunting techniques, rigging, and lots more.
