Re: My Deer Decoy !

We use a decoy sometimes in Illinois when we hunt. One year we had a persistent eight pointer that tried his best to impregnate our decoy. The decoy we use is rigid and light and it doesn't take much to knock it off of it's feet. The delicate touch the buck demonstrated while continually trying to mount the deek was incredible. After about the 5th or sixth attempt he finally manged to knock it over. The buck reeled back and inspected his now "defunct" hard plastic girlfriend wondering how he killed her with his "equipment". He looked puzzled and finally wandered off. When my buddy went to inspect the decoy at the end of the hunt he noticed there were small blood stains on her rear end. I guess the buck gave it the old college try and never could find the glory hole.

Re: My Deer Decoy !

I think shooting him while he was getting his freak on would be just wrong.

Let him finish then shoot. I can't think of a better way to die

Re: My Deer Decoy !

I hunt in Illinois every year and have used a decoy numerous times with awesome results. I've had better success using a doe decoy and a buck decoy with one side missing off his rack. Every buck that sees this set up has come in to investigate and most have challenged the buck and some have even attacked it. I'll up load some pics when I get home Saturday.
