JDC 2/11 Report

Weather: Mostly Sunny
Water: 73 degrees
Waves : 3'
Current: NONE?
Viz: 50-80'

With no current, things were kinda 'slow' down there. Still, Petra and my boy and I swam around and had a good day. Didn't see anything worth shooting, but I shot a trigger and a jack just to put a spot in the cooler.

DiverTom limited on bugs, other divers hit the bugs too. The boat had 23 divers onboard

On a positive note, didn't see a single shark all day - a first in many months for diving in Jupiter.

Re: JDC 2/11 Report

I really had to swim my rear off to get to some lobsters spots, my
partner chrashed out on the ride back as soon as we hit I95. She was
beat and will feel that dive tomorrow. I did not see anything to shoot
on my lobster runs either. Funny thing was when we were waiting for
a pick up a turtle came right up to my partner and scared the hell of her.
It must have been checking her bottom out from underneath and came up
for a better look right next to her when she was not expecting it.
Heres a photo of the bugs.

Re: JDC 2/11 Report

I talked to both Capt Mike and Spearmax on the radio this morning. No current. No Lemons. I was in 101ft and took a hail mary shoulder freeshaft shot to a very nice black. I'm chasing the frigging shaft underneath the ledge as it's moving. I reached in and a friggin nurse shark came out and I lost the shaft. 4 reefies showed up from the comotion and I screwed up by not getting shaft placement on him. Shot position & angle is everything!!! We pulled a hand full of bugs.

Nice bugs DiverTom, looks like us. Alot of them were deep backed up into the holes.
