Favorite dive light.......

What light does everyone use, and why?
I started with the Pelican lights, then went to UK. I dive with the Light Cannon 100, and it is really nice. I wish the rechargable pack was not 200$. I need to make a costco run for "C" batts a few times per season. The "C" batteries only seem to last 2-3 dives before I need to put fresh batts in the light.
I hope my bulb doesn't go out this season, its 90$.

Light Cannon 100

That looks like one hell of a nice light if I was night diving for lobster in California or trying to penetrate a wreck. It doesn't look to me like it would work well for spearfishing though. It's way too heavy and big. I carry a princeton tec surge which uses 8 AA batts as my primary light on a retractable reel clipped to my bc shoulder D ring and then I have an underwater kinetics Q40 mounted on the business end of my short sea hornet. When using my big gun I always have a light handy hanging on the retractable and when I use my short "rock" gun the Q40 acts almost like a laser sight pointing at what I want to shoot. The fact is I usually do better than most on our boat by poking around the rocks for grouper hiding out. A couple weeks ago I found a hole with a 14.5 lb., 11 lb., and a couple 23 inch gags. I took them all with my little gun. In the winter when the water is real cold (55) the grouper line up in the holes like cord wood and are lethargic so it's pretty much like shooting fish in a barrel, the gun with the light mounted on the end works great for this.
