Recommend me a cooler

Hey guys, I need a new cooler, mine is just about had it. I am looking for something around 100-125 quarts. Want something that keeps ice and holds up well, little helpful features are a plus but primarily want something that will be used for fish and keeping ice.

Get an Icey-Tek or they make a knock off of that but I don't know the name.

I never realized coolers were that expensive.

Igloo is much cheaper plus you can buy replacement parts at most Bass Pro Shops or online.

I have the same. It will hold Ice for up to 5+ days in 80 degree weather.

Re: Recommend me a cooler

You can buy and igloo and replace it every few years or you can pay extra for a Icy Tek and it will hold up to the abuse.

Cool I had never even heard of Icy Tek, we always used igloos or built our own. Thanks!

Re: Recommend me a cooler

IceyTek is out of business under that name (copyright issues). They are expensive, but 2nd to none. They are still manufactured (in Australia I think).

Get $70 Marine Igloo at COSTCO. 165qt (266 cans) capacity. Its the MAXCOLD model, largest cooler they ever made.

Re: Recommend me a cooler

I have a buddy in the Restaurant supply business. He has been researching and testing Coolers for the last year. He has looked at Icey-Tek, Yeti, Igloo, and some others. He has found what he thinks is the best of all the ones he has researched...

Ultra Cool

We bought a 320qt. for the new boat. Used it for the first time on Saturday, and it holds Ice like nothing I have ever used.

I have an Icey-tek 150 qt. and a 60 qt. They do not compare.

Put 240#s of Ice in it at 6:00am. At 7pm there was barely enough water in the bottom to notice. The Ice was still dry.
