New to SpearBoard.. Redondo Beach local

hey guys!
my name is Daniel and I was wondering if there is anybody in the southbay-ish area (redondo, torrance, hermosa, manhattan) who wants to go out some time? I'm at malaga cove and redondo quite often..

A little about me:
I just started spearfishing under a month ago.. specifically, pole-spearfishing.. i use a JBL with a slip tip- I LOVE IT! lol.. so far, i have only caught a couple corbina, both about 10.5 inches long.. haha please dont flame me too hard- i know corbina arent exactly 'sport' fish but you have to learn somehow right? Stalking schools of corbina is not easy either! i have a lot of respect for you guys with your gnarly 30+ pound fish- but i cant really afford a gun right now so ill have to make do! But hey: atleast there is no size or bag limit on them!? just a few more to go and i could have a whole meal!haha

always a good idea to memorize the dfg regs, they can hit you pretty hard on those for sure

Bob-
Where do you mean north end of the redondo breakwater? do you mean north past the redondo pier? On another note: has anybody speared guitarfish (aka shovelnose shark)? I speared one today for my first time..i wanna say like 2-2.5 feet long.. ive never had shark before so its gonna be shark steaks tonight!! anyways.. there is this kelp-patty-oasis, if you will, like in 20 feet of water kinda near malaga cove that has a whole GANG of these guitarfish and other assorted life.. i also saw what i believe was a gray smoothhound swimming in this area.. probably like 3-4 ft.. coming out of the parking lot i saw a guy with a halibut that did not look that big at all.. possibly not legal.. 22 inches is the minimum, right? This size of this one was pushin' it 4sure..
