Shark Shield Delay or BS?
After talking with my LDS owner it appears that the Freedom 7 Shark Shields are not in Long Beach, CA sitting in a container waiting for clearance, but are still down under with new battery issues...
LEDs again? Is there anyone out there with some hard facts? And when will they REALLY be available? Seems the distributor changes his story when pressed for facts. I'm only repeating what I've been told, so no flaming. I'm bringing this up after another jousting seesion with a Bull on saturday. My bride has authorized a purchase, she is tired of hearing of my exploits. Al |

Re: Shark Shield Delay or BS?
Distributer has lied and changed his story a number of times. I have several students who have been waiting weeks for theirs.
Jupiter Dive Center today said that FEDX reports that they have a shipment inbound right now and should have them in a couple of days Contact Gerry at JDC for the latest info. |

Sounds like SS is going to be doing some brisk business.

Re: Shark Shield Delay or BS?
Or they have design/production problems they don't want anyone to know about.
I tried to get them to send a representative to the Spearfishing Symposium in Ft. Lauderdale next weekend to lecture about the SS. I sent multiple E. Mails to their distributer on the West Coast of Florida and never received a reply. I then sent multipel E. Mails to their main office in Australia and never received a reply. Then I sent more E. Mails asking if they would send me the information so I could put together a presentation and never received a reply. Very, Very disappointing. |

Re: Shark Shield Delay or BS?
I like the "shipment overboard, eaten by sharks" theory, very funny!
Spoke with the JDC group just a few minutes ago, two F7 units in transit, finally! $550 is a nice price if they have most of the bugs worked out and the longer life battery. I wonder if the battery guarantee has been extended from 6 to 12 months? In any event, this is a wife approved purchase, so no guilt here. Now if it comes in tomorrow and I get it chargered and drained by lights out I can dive Thursday!!!! Xcellent Last edited by snokat; 06-26-2007 at 04:59 PM. |
