La Jolla Vis.!!!!
Launched the boat out from the shores on sun. and the surf was dark brown. Further out at our yellowtail spot, it was bright red and disgusting. We headed south to the kelp off of wind'n sea and the water looked to be clearing up. I jumped in the find amazingly blue water. Just to check how far I could see, I dove down to the end of my floatline. I could still see my buoy at 50ft.!!! INCREDIBLE. The great vis made up for the lack of fish, although I did manage to stone a 7lb. Barracuda. Good bait for the hoopnets.

Just listen to the old PorkChop express and take his advice on a dark and stormy night alright? When some wild eyed, 8 foot tall maniac grabs your neck and taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall and looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you, "Have you paid your dues?" You just stare that big sucker right back in the eye and you remember what old RickDawg always says at a time like that. "Have you paid your dues yet Rick? Yes sir,the check is in the mail." |

Glad to here it. Went diving at Laguna Beach this past Saturday, and the vis was better than a month ago, but not 50 ft (I wish!). Ditto on the paucity of good-sized fish.
