My buddy went out PBI for dolphin today.
Said it was 600' deep before he hit blue water, if that helps ya
Good news is? He hooked a sail and caught a 11lb dolphin, even if it was 10' seas in the Gulf Stream

Bryan, I am still getting over the flu, but I did get the following photos from shore and viz reports from divers today. The current is running south still as evidenced by the ship anchored out there facing north. The blue water line may apprear close by the parasail, but divers who went out today tell me that north of the inlet there is a layer of no viz on the bottom at the 90 and 120 foot depths. Tony

Oh. The curse of the South Current! After all that smack I talked, I stayed in as well. Hope you feel better, T. There is always the promise of next weekend. At least all my gear is washed and my gun all tricked & ready to go!

Re: need palm beach to jupiter vis reports

Went to Juno Beach today and was surprised at how much closer the blue water line had moved inshore.

Re: need palm beach to jupiter vis reports

I went to the Blue Heron Bridge to snorkel with my 9 yr old at high tide today. The water was absolutely chocolate-colored. Visibility was literally less than 1 foot! I inserted my sandal in the water from the surface and couldn't see the end of it.

A diver told me that they are dumping "bad sand" on the shoreline (in the ocean) to provide "emergency" erosion protection.

It appears that somebody is making one hell of a turbidity plume!!!

I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE WATER LOOK LIKE IT DID TODAY AT HIGH TIDE.

Re: need palm beach to jupiter vis reports

I was this afternoon today in the chocolate milk ... around noon the BLUEISH green waterline was around 250fsw. The Blue waters of palm beach were in 600fsw . The good news is by 4pm the BLUEISH green water was at the 120fsw mark and jumping in and goin down about 40 feet its still real silty but I'd say about 10-15 ft vis. at most. I think by tues we'll have divable waters ... nothing spectacular .. but 20-30ft vis.
