PC Report -- 12-01-2007

Took the SeaNote out in some sporty conditions to see if we could do a dive or two. With it being rough, we decided to try the wrecks in 80-100ft hoping for semi-clean water. Dropped in on a tiny wreck in almost 90ft and Kp found a fish.

After he strings this 20lb gag, a curious cobe comes to see what all the fuss is about. Bad idea for Mr. Cobia.

20ft vis and 74 degree water made for a nice dive.

No more decent fish around this tiny piece of a shrimpboat, so we head off in 4ft seas with some whitecaps to look for another spot. 2 other bigger wrecks have boats on them, so we make the call to go inside to Benson. Tide is high and were hopeful. Not to be. The surge in this shallow water has the bottom stirred up and vis is 5ft, maybe. We stick around long enough for KP to collect a 7.5lb bug.

We decided to fish some here, as Matt (TripleHelix) had got a 21" Red Snapper on H+L while we were down. We got 4 ARS from 21-22" and released probably 15 more. Lotsa fun on 10-15lb spinners!

Here is the fence shot. Lotsa good eats there!

Thanks KP for getting us out there in pretty tough conditions, and thanks to Matt for diggin' up those snapper! Had a great time.
