Re: 2003 Parker 21' sport cabin

Austin, I've come to a crossroads basically....I bought this boat when I was young and single, and now I'm older, married, and a dad - and living in SD on one income aint easy!

I was hedging my bets against dipping into savings every month so my wife could stay home with Jr. hoping that my continual increases at work would get us even by now, but it didn't work out.....the biotech industry is wacky now and I'm just lucky that I'm a top performer and not laid off, let alone making huge jumps!!

Gas prices have pretty much taken away any increases I've gotten also, and keeping mom at home for a few more years is WAY more important than the boat.

Don't worry, I wont stop diving, I think I'm gonna get a kayak or a paddleboard or something. It's a TOUGH decision, but I know it's the right one for my son, and hopefully he'll take care of me when I'm old and losing it!

Lifes throwing me lemos right now, so I'm squeezing away to make the lemonade. It could be worse though....this aint really a terrible problem to have in the grand scheme of things.

I'll still invite you to go on dives with me, but you'll have to sit on the back of the board for the paddle out!

dude that is awesome that you value your son's time with mom more than a boat or anything else it sounds!! I feel the same and glad to see others that do as well. Good luck with the sale it looks like an awesome ride.

Jim,

Likewise. I respect your decision. When my boat is ready, you are welcomed on my boat as well. Not as luxurious as yours, but it'll get fish--I promise.

Nice boat and looks like a good price. My neighbors looking at that model, I'll pass on the info. Rob "Daybreak".
