Spearfishing in CO
Just curious how the underwater hunting is out in CO. I may be making some trips out there to the Springs area sometime this summer and fall.

Pueblo Res. is pretty good for spearfishing. Only 30 miles South of the Springs.Nice walleye and bass and an abundance of carp. 5-10 feet vis.Get ahold of me if you need a partner. Mike

Re: Spearfishing in CO
Element,
Thanks for the post link. According to what Scubadown posted last year there isn't much game spearing going on in CO. Skidoo, if I find my way out there I'll look you up, man. How are the lakes or rivers for viz?

Re: Spearfishing in CO
viz is good in most rivers, but they are pretty chilly. Lakes, 10 feet is great vis, but most will offer around 5'. As far as spearing, I think Pueblo is the only place you can take game fish, and carp are mainly found in scummy lakes

Re: Spearfishing in CO
Take Skidoo up on his offer, I plan on sneaking down there this year to check it out myself. Also take a look at the Rocky Mountain spearfishing series going on in Utah, Nebraska, and Wyoming this year.

Re: Spearfishing in CO
Pueblo is the only place you can hunt game fish in Colorado. I have heard of some mountain lakes that will allow you to spearfish but havent check them out. If your dates fit the Rocky Mountain Spearfishing tourneys I would definately check them out. You are always welcome to ride with us.
