Bluefin tuna video--while waiting for vis to clear up

Check out the guy snorkeling with tunas coming up right at him starting at 1:09.

Dear Lord, let me be there just once, with a loaded speargun rigged with cable, sliptip, a stout floatline and some big ass floats.

I liked seeing the guy crimping while underway and then the result of hasty rigging when the guy on the rod fell over backwards as a connection parted!

Those tuna were coming up right next to the guy! I think they might have been attracted to his pink fins. I may have to get me some of those!

Re: Bluefin tuna video--while waiting for vis to clear up

I saw that episode on my return flight to NZ. It's a good one.

Apparently, right now there are groups trying to outlaw the spearing of bluefin tuna, even though less than 10 were taken this way last year.
