West Coast guy going East?

Hey everyone. This is my first time posting anything in the Florida section. (I usually stick to the California section)

I ran into an opportunity to go to Pensacola in 2 weeks. I don't know jack about spearing in the gulf, but hopefully my west coast experience will be enough

Anyway, I was hoping that one of you guys in the Pcola area could push me in the right direction. Is it possible/realistic to shore dive that area?

If spearing there for what ever reason is bad, I'll just pass on going.

Thanks
