He didn't return mine either. Too bad because I liked everything people were saying about him and I had to buy 600 bucks worth of stuff from elsewhere.

From one kid to another!

Kyle, go with Steve Alexanders all the way for your Moby Dick gun. There is absolutely no need for 7 tabs. You can put two, even three, bands on shark fin tabs. A standard Alexander 4 finned shaft is plenty for your beastly plans.

youre gonna lose like 8" of bandstretch with all those tabs. and once you string nessie its gonna saw straight thru her spine. i only use 2 tabs on my sissy little 4 bander...

Re: Internet Custom Spearguns

You are still making that 8 band gun? Dont forget that you can double up the bands on the same tab. I'm sure some guys on this site could tell you how that works. I was looking for a couple shafts of the same size but with three tabs and maybe a rest tab. Also I was looking for a couple slip tips to fit those shafts. I know riffe sells all of these. About 80 bucks for each. I have "a friend of a friend" getting mine from "a friend" who "knows a guy" if you know what I mean (thanks Justin!). I am still spending way too much money. You should call around like I did. I spoke to Pacific Sporting Goods a while back about a Riffe euro and reel for WSB and they had great deals on that set up. I'd call them up if you want a quote for Riffe parts. Also call everyone else. You could easily spend $100 bucks more or less depending on where you buy.

Re: Internet Custom Spearguns

I cant stand double loading on a shaft. just a pet peeve. also his mechanisms are not strong enough for what i want. i fail to see how i am going to "kill myself" ,its a gun not a bomb. unless i decide to test its penetration strength on myself then i fail to see what the hell your talking about. as for the kick the gun weighs (right now) over 30 pounds with no hardware whatsoever. although its going to be taken down so that it is around that weight fully rigged. Guns like this have been made and used. if im lucky i will get to use this gun on 1 or 2 trips this entire year. definetly not a gun im taking out for the weekends.

Thats what I was thinking about. You could have shorter and shorter bands as they progressed up the shaft. That would look pretty cool when it was loaded.

I'm kinda bummed that I deleted that picture of "Water Horse" taking your 8 band propelled shaft in the head from my computer. But dont worry, I just bought a 5- 5/8 band blue water. Still pretty damn big. And if you are goinging to make yourself a gun that will hang on your wall 99.99999% of the time then $#!T...go big I guess.

Re: Internet Custom Spearguns

I emailed back and forth with Bill as recently as Feb 1st. I think he may be out of town. His products are worth the wait...his new trigger mech should be available in the next 2 weeks! His words: "it will be both the
strongest (~3000 lbs with around 8 lbs trigger pull and the most
inexpensive on the market."

American Idol, this thread, a $2 bottle of wine, and a microwaved burrito. I love my life.

I can't wait for the pictures of that gun.
