Loading Pad for a wetsuit

Has anyone ever put a loading pad on their surfing wetsuit? Are there kits you can buy? Do they glue on or do you have to stich them? Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you,
Jonathan

That's what I was going to say. A mouse pad works just fine.

Re: Loading Pad for a wetsuit

are you guys serious? I have only loaded my gun a few times (all without a wetsuit) and my chest hurt for a few day. I was hoping this pad would act ass a cushion and not tear up my wetsuit.

What kind of glue would you reccomend (wesuit, boat goo)?

Thank you,
Jonathan

glue 2 of them.. I use shoe goop.. You can also us wetsuit glue that you can purchase at a dive shop.. I like shoe goop.. Use it everywhere were I need to glue or seal something on my boat.

Mouse pad $5 and Aquaseal $20, simple but effective.

Re: Loading Pad for a wetsuit

Also ther is a product called marine goop, same as aqualseal I sell it for $4.95 and it is 5 times bigger than the little aquaseal tube that I used to sell for $7.95. Yes 1 or 2 mouse pads do really work, must factory installed loading pads are about 1/2 the thickness of your standard mouse pad.

Re: Loading Pad for a wetsuit

You California guys crack me up! You'll spend $1400 on a Wong but glue a flip flop to the chest of your wetsuit with shoe goop for a loading pad!
It just happens that today I got this E mail;

"Don,
I just wanted to say thank you for the incredible job you did on my wetsuit. I had a chance to get it wet this weekend and use the cocking pad and we were very impressed. The powerhead pocket was just what I had pictured as well.
Thank you again,
Bill"

It cost him a big whopping $70, with shipping, to get three rips fixed, a impregnated Kevlar loading pad on the chest and a PPD pocket on his upper arm.

Go figure...

Re: Loading Pad for a wetsuit

Don,

We the biggest cheap asses.. Also If we really wanted to you can bring the wet suit to jmjwetsuits.com or bluewaterhunter.com aka deepthought wetsuits.

They can put a loading pad for 30 to 40 dollars.,

Jmjwetsuits is located in Torrance, ca and deepthought is located in oxnard. Also there are other wetsuit repair companies local, but why.

You can't invest in 2 mouse pads and some shoe goop and it is finished, why spend$70.00 and 2 weeks waiting for you wetsuit to get done??
