2008 NFC Bass Challenge
We used to run a tournament like this back when Alpine Ski/Sports was here in Newport.
Tournament will start May 17 (Saturday) and run Until August 2(Saturday) Fish must be shot and weighed in on Saturdays only. Fish must be weighed in here in Newport on the official NFC scale. **the only exception for this will be the RI Blue Water meet. Bass from that tournament will count in this event with the weight being taken from that weigh-in** There is a $20 sign-up (must be paid prior to the 17th of May) **Mail check to Newport Freedive Co, 53 Coggeshall Ave., Newport, RI 02840** Winner will be determined by total fish weigh over the course of the tournament ( Striped Bass only - 2 fish per (Satur)day max ) The leader board will be posted on Newportfreediveco.com There will be a cash prize for the winner. (this will be determined by how many people sign up)

OK, here it is. Participants can weigh-in once a week ( 2 bass max per week ) While I will do my best to be around as much as possible I can not promise to be here 24-7. (That is why I was trying to limit it to Saturday but in the spirit of good sportsmanship I will do what I can) The weigh-in is limited to once a week to make it fair for everyone. I know there are some of you out there with no JOBS and are out shooting fish all the time thus giving you an unfair advantage hence the once a week rule.

ill have a job this year rob, but can i weigh in on a different day each week? say i have a good day on thurs and then a good day the monday after, can i weigh in on both days?

May 17th was the deadline for sighing up so I am off the hook because no of you slackers came up with the cash. I don't think I will have a lot of extra time anyhow with me being a new uncle and all.
