New Years in Tampa

Ok guys, serious question. What is there to do in Tampa for New years? For some reason, sitting at Momma Fernandez's drinking apple cider that comes out of a wine bottle doesn't sound all that appealing. I need some serious suggestions here.

Busch Gardens finally got their act together and started offering BEER during New years Eve. That would be cheap fun.

Already looked on their website and thought about it. Military and their "family" get free entrance into the park. But for some reason I don't think beer and roller coasters should mix. Do you think it would be a good party?

Downtown St. Pete is having a shin dig of sorts.

Damn, 1,400 members of spearboard and the best advice comes from a 15 year old kid. Thanks Zack. I forgot about Ybor, and the beaches.

Although our city appears to be boring on the surface, there is ALWAYS shit to do.

If you like live Blues music, check out Skippers Smokehouse in North Tampa

Rev Billy opens, The Nighthawks play a set, & then Thackery, Jimmy Carpenter [Sax-extraordinaire] & the Nighthawks blast in the New Year--Cover includes Party Favors, Champagne at Midnight & Breakfast

It's $25. We went last year and had a blast...the last thing I saw was my dad standing in the kitchen puking into the garbage disposal as a result of one two many oyster shooters

No Skipper's this year since we are heading over to West Palm for a house party, the grand finale of which includes a bunch of dried up christmas trees thrown onto the bonfire with flames shooting into the sky. Dad's still recovering form last year so he's not invited.

But, if I was it would be a toss up between Skipper's or the downtown St. Pete shindig.

Throwing xmas trees in bonfires is always a fun way to start off the new year.
