day2 crystalriver report 1/4/04

left the ramp at daylight again on sunday for another of target practice.crew was myself,merk and 2nondivers from out of state.seas were flat as a retention pond even though the forecast called for 10-15 and 2-3.anchored up on the first spot so the out of towners could feel what its like to have a nice gag pullin on the end of there rod.after putting 5 gags in the box the bite turned off .merk and geared up and went down.we only took a few hogs off this spot.hit some more rock piles which produced a few more gags,goes and hogs.tally for the day was 12 gags,13 hogs abd a few goes.big fish of the day went to merk.a 19 lb gag shot on a wrek.we did a lot better on friday but it was still a good day to be out and i finally got all the rust off my gun after a 2 month dry spell.

Thanks for taking us out I know my bother and his friend had a great time. They're not use to getting up that early and spending 10 hours on the water buy the looks on their faces when we got home late last night. It's all worth it though.

They wanted to thank you a again for taking them out, they said it was the highlight of their vacation.

Looks like I missed out on 2 good days of slingin' steel with ya'll just to go offshore from the Cape to put a hurtin' on some sharks & peanut dolphin. Glad you all had 2 good days and can't wait to get out there with ya'll again soon. Good Shootin'!
