Alternative Perpective in MPA's

Below is a link on a perspective on MPA's from fisheries scientists that is not often heard. While at the annual AFS meeting last summer I sat through parts of a 2 day symposia on MPA's and it was one big group hug except for Bob Shipp (author of the piece below). Some people are starting to realize that fisheries professionals have lots of tools in the toolbox to solve fisheries problems and that MPA's are just another tool for the toolbox. They are not the panacea or solution for all situations that some like to think.
