jfjf, Dodge and I did some diving in the north grounds. We got our limit of gags with jfjf's 40#s Black Belly as the high fish. The vis was 20-40 ft and warm on the bottom. We left many fish there today. Thanks for coming guys. We would have all the fish in the pic but jfjf could only hold up one fish,.... pussy

Beautiful fish jf, but you're a week early. Did he spook when he saw ya or was he as dumb as the 20lbers? I've seen a few 40#'s in north Jupiter and they were spooky as all get out.

Next time? Man up and hold all your meat in both hands

I have never seen a gag that big in Jupiter or west palm, not even close.

I was swimming gently down a big ledge, pretty much alone and this HUGE grouper pops up from some cover in front of me and runs forward ahead of me about 30 feet and ducks into a triangular shaped cave that is formed by a 12 by 14 foot slab of rock that is leaning against the 12 foot high break. I hooked the float line off, I was down to like 500 lbs and then held my breath and stuck my head in the cave. The cavity was aligned with the long axis of the break and I could see a pretty big exit hole on the far side. When I first looked I saw no grouper, I stuck my head out took a breath and then ducked under this time with the light and I saw him laying against the side. I immediately fired and the end of the shaft did not even wiggle. I knew I either completely missed or he was stoned. Thank goodness it was the later. I gingerly pulled him out, knifed him anyway and started the ascent. It was a huge grouper when he ducked into the hole, but he seemed to shrink about 30% on the ascent.

Probably my personal best gag! No scale yet.

It was an excellent day, saw many bugs over 6-7 lbs and just had a good time.

Nice fish guys.
Saw only one gag yesterday in Jupiter and it he was flying. Lots of small blacks out in the sand. Took nothing.
Hope the fish were just taking a day off before the SBO.

Finally got the gag to the scale. It shrunk even more! 34 llbs gutted...
