Dive trip off Marquesas : Today was calm after 2 windy days

Went to Bar 14 miles W of KW , Blue water but too much current

Ran Scarab West to 30' shallows off east edge of Marquesas, Blue water w/ 77.8'F water temps. vis was 60-70 feet. 4 divers,3 hunters. Got our limits on hogs, 5 grouper, 10 gray snappers and 17 lobsters. Dove 4 tanks ea.

I have never seen it this warm in the water in Jan. A fantastic day. its 9PM here in Key West and we are just finishing cleaning Scarab and vacume packing bugs & fish

Sat & sun are supposed to be nasty again w/ wind

Hogfish near the Marquesas? It cant be. The are close to extinction there havent you heard? A guy with a PHD said so.

Hogs are everywhere. We started .6 miles West of Coalbin Rock bouy ,then hit 3 more spots West ending 1 mile East of Cosgrove Light. Past over at least 15 small hogs ea dive ,trying to target 15"-18" hogs . No giants found. We have limited out in hogs in this area 5-6 times a year for 7 yrs.
