50" Wong for sale
Wong gun for sale...
50" Mag Hybrid, Semi-Enclosed track, carbon fiber barrel. 3 - band muzzle will hold 3 @ 5/8" bands, but is a little overpowered. Will accept 5/16" or 9/32" shaft. Gun will come with 1 flopper shaft (5/16"). Shoots great with 2 bands @ 5/8" or 3 @ 9/16". $600 including shipping to anywhere in the 48. More pics tomorrow. REEL not included and not for sale.

Re: 50" Wong for sale
Yes it does. Here is a pic of the engraving...
(I swapped Jason Wilson another gun for this one. Now I have a home-brew gun in the works and need the cash for tools.)

Re: 50" Wong for sale
The 50" or the 55" may be the best "all around gun" ever made. Great price on that..... Magnum is the way to go, the added ballasting really makes a difference in the recoil and accuracy.... its nice to be able to shoot 9/32 and 5/16" shafts, when hitting small stuff throw on the thinner shaft, when hunting bigger game toss on the thicker one.... tracks so easily through the water, the fish do not stand a chance...did I say that I really like this gun already....

Re: 50" Wong for sale
How will shooting ss cable effect the way a wong will shoot(vs. mono)? Would you go 1\16 cable or 3\32? Im going to be freediving rigs out of Venice so mono really isn't an option. Also I know your not interested in selling the reel but I have a RA ss 70 reel that has never been in th water. Would you be interested in just leaving the reel on the gun in trade? Im very interested and could pick it up. Thanks, Aaron.

Re: 50" Wong for sale
1/16ths is the way to go. 3/32nds is way to heavy and unnecessary. I have seen no difference between 1/16ths and heavy mono.

Re: 50" Wong for sale
When using the 5/16" shaft, it has enough mass that the cable doesn't really hurt accuracy. These guns send the shaft right where you point it. I really like the gun, it is the most manuverable gun I've ever used. I have 3 others and 2 more under construction. Tools and parts are eating me up. Thanks.
I think I am using 1/16". I know it is 500# test strength. Pretty soft stuff to work with.

Re: 50" Wong for sale
Just wanted to add that the deal with Southern Cross was smooth and professional.
PS: Package was missing a tuna as promised, but overall, A++, will do business again. |
