Key West night dive
Dove the Cayman Salvager & Joe's Tug last night w/spearboard member Curt. Got 2 blacks, large one 12lb. Lost a big gag. Vis 40', slight current, 2' seas. Great conditions, all things considered. Have pix, but file is too big for spearboard.

Have you dove the Bush at night? Nice dive but it may be a little deep for some people at night. Do you have any special methods you use to hunt at night? This may be a topic that needs it's own thread.

Haven't made it there @ night. Would be cool. I don't have any special techniques. I just like to night dive. The critters are out & about more, there are no crowds, & even the reef colors are prettier with your dive light. We should hook up since you are just in Sugarloaf.

I used to do a bit of night hunting on the east coast. I would occasionally find a grouper or hog sleeping in the rocks or a crevice here and there. Doing a night dive for bugs I came across a decent size hog sleeping next to a wreck. With no gun, I snared his tail with a looper
That woke him up! Never had a problem with sharks at night, but they could have been there and I would have never known. That's the only spooky part. Other than that, just get a good light.
