Same here. Miss Cali so much... Ocean Cove Rules. Many camping trips out of there. Right next door to Sea Ranch.

Thanks for posting.
Dive Sea Ranch as much as you can this year.
Starting next year it looks like almost all of it will be part of the new MLPA No Take Area. Sad but true.
I will be back up on the coast again in a couple of weeks.
Hope the ocean looks like that for me.

If they close off only Sea Ranch area, that's fine with me. Most of us "poor people" cannot get into dive from anywhere in there anyways.

I thought the "no take" area stopped at Black Point, which would leave a big chunk of Sea Ranch north of that still open to diving. Am I mistaken?

Yes and no. There are a half dozen public access parking lots that allow non-residents access to some prime "big abalone" coastline, but it does cost $5 a vehicle to park there.

Re: last weekend sea ranch photos

I'm not sure, but it used to be if you stayed at a county campground ie. Stillwater, your parking pass would be good for all the Sea Ranch access points.
