viz has been good the past week or so. hammered the lobsters on scuba during the day yesterday pulled limits. shot 2 calicos a good sandy and a grass rockfish for a study im doing. millions of calicos and sandbass to be seen. also couldnt help noticing that the big sheepsheads are starting to come back in shallow about a 15lber swam with me for a while watching me molest some lobster. swell that came in today kinda messed things up. evryone ive talked to is doing good but was doing way better befor the traps got set as it always is. all kinds of crap out in the kelp except lobster. its like once you hit the trapping zone it goes dead. 4ft-17ft is extremely productive right now. also talked to some people who dove some hidden reefs way out in the middle of nowhere and pulled limits on fatties. saw some halis out in the kelp too, wish i could have gotten a shot off.
