Octopus / Moray Eel Predation Video and Hawaii Pics
I just got back from my 10 day trip in Hawaii and wanted to share a video I put together and also a few pics:

Coming in from my last dive on the last day of the trip, this is what I saw:

Enjoy the pics. All pictures taken off while freediving with a Canon PowerShot SD750. All shore dives.

Holy shit. Gorgeous images. Nice vid as well. Did the eel take a bite out of the octopus before it got a chance to escape?

Yea - if you look closely you can see that the eel took a big chunk out of the octopus (look for the white on the octopus after it escapes). From what I can tell it looks like it took off an entire tentacle!
