Offshore Adventures

If anyone watches this program they know it awsome, but I have a little beef with them already...I'm not sure I like the crew change!..Chef David Trailor gone, What the heck man..the new guy can probably cook but he can barely even hold a rod and reel , let alone DIVE! I'm just a little upset, and wondered if anyone had seen the new episode and feel a little different about it...It just don't seem the same

Re: Offshore Adventures

Hasn't David been gone for 6-8 years now?

I agree, the original chemistry is going to be hard to duplicate.

Re: Offshore Adventures

dude, I love that show but its over. Their most recent season they bought an old converted 120ish' Alaskan crab boat that acts as a mothership for a 45' Cabo, a center console and a bunch of other stuff and the crew is up to like 10 people. They did one GREAT season saying they are embarking on a 7 year trip around the world. At the end of the season they said "by the way, this is our last episode ever". I was really disappointed but my gut says they are working on a new show, maybe for another network.

Re: Offshore Adventures

I just taped the new show I beleive...with a new photography guy and a new chef (he ows his own food joint)and the intro is new and talks about how happy they are with the changes and what not, so it must be just starting...I'm still pissed!

Re: Offshore Adventures

They used to have a great show. Capt Brett and Chef David were awesome at free diving and Chris held his own. Then they had the wife Melissa free diving and fishing with them and was very cool. Then the last season was kinda dumb like Rob said. They made a few wees worth of shows to a trip to Cocos Island and had interviews with the fuel man and some other random people on different boats. Still all else aside Chris Fisher is my idol, give or take. I would love to be with my family all the time, not have to hold down a real job, fish and dive all day every day and have someone cook for me....

Re: Offshore Adventures

I had one beef with the show - they horse the fish up. Maybe it's just the way I was taught, but I never fight a fish from the surface. You apply minimal pressure, and you go retrieve the fish when you're ready. Watching the show, I always wonder how many tear-offs they didn't show.
