Laguna this morning

Dove Crystal Cove this morning with Stephen (xstephenx) again it was a pleasure meeting and diving with you. Surf was maybe 1' on the sets and almost non existant in between sets. The vis was pretty good 12 feet in most areas but would drop in some pockets and open up to almost 20 in other pockets so average was 12'. Not a ton of life out but a pretty good amount a number of calicos around but they were either right at minn length or clearly short I did manage a 16' calico for dinner though. I also spotted a couple of octopus one was very friendly and actually let me pet it there were also some really large bat rays around today as well I came over a small rock pile and spooked one that took off and scared the crap out of me. I also collected any pieces of trash I found in the water one of which was interesting to see here is a pic of it.

Kramer, does this belong to you?

I might be up for a dive Tuesday I will post by Monday if I am planning on heading out.

Re: Laguna this morning

Glad you had a nice dive. Interesting to note that I too saw nearly no sheepies, and those I saw were just above the min. size.

Awesome. I picked up a TopFlight from South Laguna today. Yours is in better shape. The richies must be practicing driving from the back yard again.

Definitely a nice dive this morning, it was good meeting you too Jeff. Those were some monster rays. We should dive again soon.
