got out today near fowey. Viz was zero everywhere. didn't even get to see a fish. couldn't see my own hand in front of my face.

how deep were you?

my spots we checked were from 15ft to 35ft. Went offshore to fish as a backup and the reef was milk the whole way out.

Last Saturday the reef was bad... poor viz. viz got better in deeper water 50+

got out yesterday 05/07/2012 for an hour or so at around 4pm... and the viz has gotten much better.

Got out today off haulover, and the viz was great, 50' in 35' no current and the deeper the better it got, from 9 am to 12 pm, got a couple of big hogs, and a mouton snapper big for Miami also, the winds started to pick up waves 2' to 3' with occasional 4' and viz got a bit hazy but still very doable, my diving buddy did great a lot better than i did, the tax man pay us a visit but no problems i guess it was just cruising by, get out there if you can. be safe out in the blue.

Report on Vis on 5/15/12: North of Fowey Vis was around 20ft still a bit hazy at 45 to 50 ft of water. The shallower you when the less viability there was. Recover about five anchors that need clean or can be used as decoration. Only in miami you see so many anchors. Got my first Red to open the season and some hogs, trigger.

what time in the morning did you start diving?

Early in the morning just after sunrise. The wind was still blowing. Forgot to mention the 16lb- Horse Eye Jack that I shot. It had worms and I gave it a funeral out in the deep blue.
